The New York Aquarium is celebrating World Oceans Day all weekend (June 7 – 8) long with plenty of ocean-themed family friendly events! People around the world rely on oceans to survive and thrive, and we’re celebrating with the help of Bubble Guppies, kid-friendly activities, and family fun.
World Oceans Day Activities
Bubble Guppies. Celebrate the seas with Nickelodeon’s Bubble Guppies! Molly and Gil, the stars of the show, will be at the aquarium along with Bubble Puppy to meet and greet guests. Be an Ocean Hero & Be Heard! Make a pledge to do your part for a cleaner, healthier ocean and post it to our pledge wall. We’ll deliver your pledges to world leaders at the 2014 International Ocean Conference (www.state.gov/ourocean) to show your commitment to protecting the ocean.
Share Your Pledge! Take a Selfie for the Sea: a photo of yourself doing something for the ocean – like taking this pledge – and post it to Twitter, Instagram or Facebook and tag it #WorldOceansDay.
