Celebrate LEGO Day at Ridge Hill {Monday, June 16th}

June 6, 2014 by Lisa Leave a Comment

Monday, June 16 is LEGO Day at Ridge Hill

Admission to LEGOLAND Discovery Center on Monday, June 16th is just $10 for everyone all day.

The Ninjago Laser Maze is debuting at LDC on Monday, June 16. This maze invites guests to beat the odds as they attempt to pass through the maze and climb over lasers of a variety of colors. At the Ninjago Laser Maze, you and your family can step inside the new Ninjago Training Camp to see if you have what it takes to join the Ninjago Team and take on the bad guys with creativity, agility and skill. Can you make it all the way through? There’s only one way to find out!

Starting at 7pm, head over to Ridge Hill’s Town Square (located between Cheesecake Factory and Brio Tuscan Grille) for more fun and activities, including a FREE outdoor showing of The LEGO Movie, which will start at sundown (around 8:30PM). So bring your chairs and your love of LEGO!

But LEGO isn’t just for kids, there is a huge adult fan following. As of Thursday, June 5 Adult LEGO Night is back! Only Adults over 18 are permitted and a cash bar will be available for attendees over 21. Adult Nights are the first Thursday of every month. The next Adult Lego Night is August 7th from 7:00-9:00pm.

Please be sure to like LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester on Facebook for updates and to see what’s going on at LDC!

Instagram post 2181675747075400220_20602182 When I graduated with an MFA, I knew I wanted to teach at the college level. Having the opportunity to return to my alma mater as an adjunct lecturer is truly a gift. And my long term goal is to get my PhD so that I may continue a career in academia. I know it’s a white dominated field and I have to bring my own chair to the table. But I have a right to sit at the table. I have the brains, the determination and the passion. And I deserve equal pay. Salary should not be determined by ethnicity or gender. “Each day that a Latina is not paid fairly is one day too many, and the impact of losing even one cent has real consequences for Latinas and our families.” #latinaequalpay

Instagram post 2180853669707287687_20602182 Some days are for red lips and a dope fit... other days are for sleeping till noon, Yogi Calm tea, cuddled up on the sofa in an old cardigan and sweats, grading papers trying to ignore the parade in my head.
Instagram post 2180745009056316697_20602182 I just said this the other day... I feel so much better - physically, emotionally, spiritually - about myself now at 44 than I did at 24. I When I was in my 20s and 30s I used to think of 40 as “old” but it’s not. In so many ways my life is just beginning. I’m not where I want to be but I am hopeful. Although I don’t know what’s next. I do know that I have enough. I do enough. I am enough. And as long as I keep doing the next right thing, the right things will happen. 🪁

Instagram post 2179558141006674811_20602182 It feels really good to be the keeper of my own life. I’m not waiting for things to happen, I’m taking charge and designing the life I want to live. 💛 @shegoeswithgratitude ・・・
You are the keeper of your life. Only you can determine what, when, and how you do things. Be the curator of your own life; design it well. ⠀
