We were invited to the Hasbro Marvel Super Hero Spectacular event. No compensation was received but we were given a Hasbro gift bag with some really cool goodies.
I love whenever I can bring Norrin and Joseph to blogging events. I just knew Joseph wouldn’t want to miss an afternoon of Marvel Super Hero fun.
Fun Fact: We Named Norrin After a Marvel Super Hero
There was candy, toys and we got to watch some episodes from Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors, Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Guardians of the Galaxy. Joseph and Norrin love Marvel Super Hero cartoons and it was cool to watch it on a big screen.
Our favorite episode was Marvel’s Ultimate Spider Man Web Warriors, “Contest of Champions” where The Collector and The Grandmaster are using Earth’s heroes and villains as pawns in a battle for Earth and power.
An inside look of Marvel Super Hero Spectacular Event
When we got home, Norrin couldn’t wait to play with his new toys. Of course we opened up the Play-Doh first.
After Norrin was diagnosed with autism (at two years old), therapists suggested we use Play-Doh. At the time, I couldn’t understand how it could be used therapeutically. Play-Doh was something I associated with childhood fun, so I didn’t think of it as a learning tool.
Play-Doh has helped Norrin with his fine motor skills, socialization, imagination and communication.
I love the Can-Heads. It turns the Play-Doh container into an “action figure” and it just takes Play-Doh creations to another level. The figure parts are functional as they also serve as cool super hero molds. Norrin had a great time playing and creating.
