Before heading out to the Niche Parent Conference, I treated myself to a hair cut at Ouidad. (Back in March I was lucky enough to be a hair model and got a free Ouidad trim.) I say treat myself because it’s more money than I would typically spend on my hair. But since I hadn’t paid for a hair cut this year (yes – you read that right, an entire year) I justified the cost of a good cut. What I love about Ouidad is that they specialize in curly hair – they know how to make the most of every kind of curl.
And Ouidad stylist, Mirsada, did an amazing job with my hair. I walked out feeling fabulous. I also walked out with a small fortune in hair product. But that’s for another post…
Right now, I just want to share the stages of fabulous I felt.
8 Stages of a Good Hair Day
Looking in the mirror after getting your hair done
The next day when someone asks if you’ve done something different with your hair. It’s like – Who Me?
Then you’re like, “Yeah, I did…”
And you own it…because your hair look amazing!
You unapologetically take that second glance in the mirror.
You are feeling your hair. And you don’t even try to hide it.
You shake your mane around like you’re starring in a shampoo commercial.
Don’t even get me started when the hair gets blown out…

As a fellow curly head, loved this article. I used to get my hair cut at Oiudad all the time BEFORE kids. Way too expensive now. It looks fabulous Lisa!
