It’s the week of Christmas and Norrin is out of school. Joseph and I are still working. With limited childcare – it’s time for Grandma to pitch in and give us a helping hand. Norrin loves staying at Grandma’s and he was excited to use his new Frozen bag for his overnight visit. I asked him to pack his stuff and immediately he packed his Olaf and buckled him into the case. It was pretty cute.
I really love our American Tourister bags. They’ve made our recent trips to Walt Disney World much easier. They’re light and compact, yet still able to hold all our family essentials. During our travels, Norrin liked helping us pull the suitcase through the airport. It was great “heavy work” for him. And I was so proud to see how he took the initiative to help.
Knowing that Norrin has a suitcase of his own has me thinking about vacation and where we’ll go next year. And since American Tourister is the official luggage of Walt Disney…I’m thinking another trip to Disney may be in our near future.
But I’ll be honest, when Joseph saw the Frozen bag with Anna, Elsa and Olaf – he wasn’t exactly thrilled for Norrin’s first suitcase to be a “girlie” bag. He didn’t say it, he didn’t have to. I know my husband well enough. And I was a little surprised. Because Joseph is so not that guy.
Norrin doesn’t know the difference between “girl” things and “boy” things. We let him play with girl toys as well as boy toys. Norrin loves watching Frozen and he really liked the bag. But then I showed him the Olaf American Tourister (the “boy” one) and asked him to pick the one he liked: Olaf or Anna and Elsa. Norrin picked Olaf. So looks like I may have to pass along our Anna and Elsa bag and head to Kohl’s for the Olaf.
It doesn’t really matter which bag Norrin has – as long as he’s ready to pack more fun and make new memories.
