Before I get into how I feel about the Clinique BB Cream, let me give you some back story. I’ve been working since I was 15 years old (I’m 38 so more than half of my life). I’ve had many, many jobs. But out all of my jobs, I’ve only been fired from one.
It was the summer I was 22 and working at the Clinique counter at Macy’s Herald Square. I had worked in other department stores in the past – in shoes, lingerie, juniors but never in cosmetics. There was something about the cosmetic girls I always envied. And the day I was hired at the Clinique counter, I felt special. There was something about wearing that crisp white uniform and the shine of my silver C pin.
While I loved makeup and liked helping customers – I couldn’t/wouldn’t do make up applications or consultations. (I have a thing about personal space.) And after a few months, I was called into the managers office and fired. I don’t know what was more devastating. Being fired for the first time or when the Clinique counter manager asked for my C pin.
One would think I’d be bitter. But no. I still love Clinique – though I steer clear of Herald Square.
And every time Clinique gift time comes around, I make it a point to be there. Because I am all about their Stay Matte pressed powder. But I digress. This post is supposed to be about BB Cream.
I’ve been thinking about BB Cream for the longest time but never able to make a decision. I was torn between BB Cream and CC Cream, unsure which one would be right for me. For the last few months, I’ve used a very expensive tinted moisturizer but by midday my face feels greasy and gross. So I decided it was time for a change. And Macy’s Clinique gift time was the perfect opportunity. (I also had a gift card.)I decided on BB Cream.
It came down to coverage, benefits, texture and finish.
What I LOVE about Clinique BB Cream:
- SPF 30 – I’m all about SPF. Have to take care of my skin.
- It’s creamy and I like that it doesn’t make me look shiny.
- It’s lightweight and doesn’t feel cakey.
- It provides full coverage without feeling like a mask.
- A little goes a long long way.
I can ever go back to a tinted moisturizer again. I’m officially on the BB Cream bandwagon. And I may never get off.
So how about you? Are a BB Cream gal or a CC Cream gal?
