June is National Candy Month. And I love candy. My son inherited his sweet tooth from me. Recently we were sent a few bags of Gimbal’s Jelly Beans. I’m a little embarrassed to say how quickly we’ve gone through them. I didn’t even have a chance to Instagram them. They were SO good. There was no time for a photo session. I just wanted to pop them into my mouth. The sour jelly beans were my absolute favorite because they were the perfect blend of tangy and sweet.
Typically I try not to keep candy around the house but I like the idea of keeping a little stash of Gimbal’s Jelly Beans. When I ask my son to do something (clean his room, finish his dinner, etc.), I’m not opposed to sweetening the deal with a jelly bean or two. Some may say it’s bribery, I say it’s incentive.
What I appreciate about Gimbal’s Jelly Beans (and candies) is that it’s a guilt free pleasure. The jelly beans are made with real juice and contain no high-fructose corn syrup. Gimbal’s candies are peanut-free, tree nut-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and egg-free. It’s the perfect sweet treat to send to school.
In 1898, Alexander Gimbal founded the Gimbal Candy Kitchen in bustling downtown San Francisco. Four generations later…Gimbal’s Fine Candies remain passionate about making delectable treats. Their motto is:
“Making Gourmet Candies for Everyone Everyday.”
