Earlier this year, I rediscovered my love for makeup. As my makeup collection grew, I knew I needed a better way to organize my makeup. I don’t have a lot of space but I found these acrylic stackable boxes perfect for makeup organization.
Since January is Get Organized Month, I wanted to share how I organize my makeup.
Living in a two-bedroom/1-bath apartment storage is always an issue. I used to keep some of my makeup in the bathroom. I used to keep my daily items in the bathroom and all my other makeup, I kept in a tupperware in the linen closet. Don’t ask why, I have no idea. Well I have a little bit of an idea…

I read that the bathroom isn’t the best place to keep makeup due to the moisture, heat and humidity. It makes sense, especially for me. Our bathroom is small and our heat in the winter is intense.
Sharing a bathroom with my husband and son, it’s a constant shuffle in the morning.
Deciding to store my makeup in the bedroom has worked well. I enjoy the process of applying my makeup while watching TV or listening to a podcast without interruption.

Back in September, I found these stackable acrylic drawers. (I purchased them at The Container Store during a 30% off sale.) I love them because they’re ideal for space savers and they’re clear, I can easily see all of my products.
The drawers come in a variety of sizes and widths. You can mix, match and stack to be best meet your needs. This allows items to be separated by product. Which I love!
I used to store my cosmetics away. When I went to use them, they were expired or close to expiration. It was a waste to have all these wonderful products that couldn’t be used.

Having access to all of my cosmetics inspires me to use them. I like switching things up – using different products and colors to suit my mood.

Looks amazing! I love pretty storage. And I agree with the acrylic once you see it then it is easy to wear. I tend to forget what I have if it’s not in front of me. I store the majority of my makeup in another room but my everyday makeup is in a basket in my bathroom. I switch it out. Same here with the gross winter weather!
