I was invited to spend a magical morning at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration on the Road in NYC. While at the event, I got to see my friends, learn about all the exciting new things happening at Walt Disney World and a few blog tips!
Coming soon to Walt Disney World Theme Parks
As of now, we don’t have any definitive plans to visit Walt Disney World (sad face emoticon) but it’s great to know there’s so much to look forward to. I am especially excited for what’s happening at Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
If you’re thinking of planning a Walt Disney World vacation, keep reading. This summer promises to be filled with blockbuster experiences! [videos below]
Animal Kingdom: From Day to Night
I’ve always been in awe of the Tree of Life. It was one of the things my parents were especially impressed by on our multi-generational Walt Disney World vacation. Starting April 22 – Earth Day – Animal Kingdom will transform from a “day-into-nighttime experience.” And the Tree of Life “will awaken each night…[to] reveal stories of wonder as the tree morphs to showcase the magic of nature.“
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: All About Star Wars
By now you should know we are huge Star Wars fans. And it’s all about Star Wars at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (YAY)! One of the magical things I love about Walt Disney World are the nighttime spectacular shows and fireworks. And this summer you’ll see “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.” The Star Wars-themed fireworks show will feature “…lasers, special effects and video projections of characters and scenes from the complete saga, all set to the iconic score of the film series.“

Blog Tips & Inspiration
It wasn’t all about coming attractions at Walt Disney World theme parks. There were quite a few guest speakers including 2 of my amazing Babble editors and dynamic mother/daughter duo – Crafty Chica and Maya in the Moment. From Pinterest to Snapchat to taking your blog game to the next level – there was so much great information provided. Needless to say, I was taking notes and tweeting like a mad woman.
Andrea of @BabbleEditors: Think of your blog post as packages. Where else can a post live & how.
@DisneyParksJenn: A skilled storyteller conveys emotion & makes readers/audience feel something. Finding a topic you are passionate about will make your writing better.
@CraftyChica: Don’t put out empty calorie content…make your content purposeful.
@MayaInTheMoment: Bring your kids into your [social media] world and monitor their content.
@RuizAlex: Snapchat is the Swiss Army knife of platforms with options for everyone 100 million users, sharing moments through images & video – one to one, one to few or one to all.
WDW Park Tip: If you’re heading to the Disney Parks, you’re going to definitely want to download Snapchat. Check out this video for more info!
@LilLunaKristyn: On Pinterest, images with text get FAR more repins than those without. Give your readers choices.
