Disclaimer: I am a Sesame Place Blog Ambassador. I was not compensated for this post but I have been provided with a 2014 Season Pass for myself and complimentary admission for my family.
We’ve been going to Sesame Place for years. Way before I even started blogging. Living in New York City, Sesame Place is a quick day trip. Though the first time we went, we stayed overnight and purchased the 2-day (non consecutive day) ticket. Having an autistic child, we prepared for our trip and welcomed the special needs accommodations Sesame Places provides.
Recently, we stayed overnight again and it was a great family weekend getaway to end the summer.
As a Sesame Place Ambassador blogger, we visit Sesame Place frequently. But even if I wasn’t – Sesame would still be a family favorite destination. Norrin has such a good time no matter what time of year we go. He loves the water attractions and is happy hanging out at The Count’s Splash Castle. But I especially love Sesame Place in the fall and winter. It’s much more relaxed and we can really enjoy the grounds and rides.
We have the Big Bird Season Pass and my favorite perks are: free general parking and 30% off in-park food (including Sesame Street character dining) & merchandise. We always treat Norrin to a little toy and at least 1 sweet treat, so the 30% discount helps. We love spending the day at Sesame Place with our family and friends, with our Big Bird season pass our guests save 50% on their admission. And having a kid with special needs, the early park entry is a major plus!
If you’re thinking of purchasing a Season Pass, this is the best time to do so. Purchasing a pass now allows you to visit for two seasons of The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular (2014 & 2015) and two seasons of A Very Furry Christmas (2014 and 2015).
What I appreciate is that there are different tiers of Season Passes to suit your families interests and budget. Season Passes may be purchased on an installment plan. Check out the benefits below!
Sesame Place is also introducing something new for 2015: The Transferable Pass. The Transferable Pass allows Season Pass Members to bring along an extra pair of hands – like a grandparent, family friend or babysitter – to help navigate their day at the park.
Tip: make the child the host pass! Since the child will always be visiting the park, any guest- mom, dad, or grandparent- will be able to accompany him or her.
